Getting Involved
Your involvement can make a world of difference in the lives of children in Niger, India, Nigeria, and elsewhere. Here are some ways to get involved with Education in a Box:
Receive regular updates
We maintain an email list for anyone interested in developments or events related to Worldwide Educational Resources. We generally send out one email newsletter each quarter filled with inspiring stories and results of what we have achieved.
Send us good used books for a school library
Shop rummage sales and library sales for good used children’s books. Often they can be purchased for cents on the dollar. Ship them to us and we then pay the shipping overseas. What an easy way to make a lasting difference! Please read our guidelines for children’s books before sending.
Purchase new books for a school library
You can purchase children’s books online and have them shipped to us. We then will send them overseas for you. We will send you an acknowledgement, which you can use for tax purposes. We have a wish list at which you can use to shop with at any bookstore, whether online or in store.
Volunteer
If you live near Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and would like to lend a hand for a few hours a month, contact us. You can help us with mailings, packing books, and whatever is currently slated for working hands.
Adopt a School
If you or your group would like to provide regular support for a school, or even raise a one-time amount, we will connect you with a specific project for which to raise funds. The supporters can even visit the school or lab for the opening ceremony. To find out more information about how to adopt a project.
Sponsor a Teacher’s Salary
You can provide the salary for a teacher for an entire year for $50 a month or $600 a year. Think of what this can buy! An education for 15 to 25 children, loving attention, learning, and discipleship.
